Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg is an American actress, radio host, comedian, TV personality, game show host, rapper, singer, and author who has secured her place as a legend in the entertainment industry. With a total of four major awards, including an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony Award, Goldberg is one of a select group of thirteen people who have achieved this feat. She is also the second African American female to win an Academy Award for acting, and has earned two Golden Globe Awards and two Saturn Awards for her performances in Star Trek Generations and Ghost. On August 1, 2007, she began her tenure as the moderator of The View, succeeding Meredith Vieira and Rosie O’Donnell.
