Wes Markin

Wes Markin is known as a British mystery fiction novelist who is the author of the DCI Michael Yorke series of novels. He was born in Manchester in the United Kingdom in 1978 and went to Leeds University for his higher education. Upon graduating from college, he spent fifteen years teaching English. During his teaching years, he spent many years on the road and even taught as far as Thailand. Now, making his home in Harrogate, where he lives with his wife and children, he finds inspiration for his novels from his surroundings and often has many of his stories set in familiar locales. His move from being a teacher to a novelist has made it possible for Wes to channel his storytelling passion into a knack for weaving complex crime capers that have made him a favorite novelist for readers across the globe.
