Tamera Alexander is a USA Today bestselling author who writes in the Christian fiction genre. Some of her awards include the Library Journal Top 5 Best Inspirational books award, the RITA Aware for Best Inspirational Romance, and the Christy Award for Best Historical RomanceShe was born in Decatur, Georgia on August 8th, 1961 to two working parents, a mother who worked as the executive of an insurance company, and a father who managed a bank. Much of her childhood was spent writing poetry and short stories, however, she never envisioned pursuing her hobby at the professional level. After graduating from the Greater Atlanta Christian School in 1979, she began studying business at Harding University. Much of this decision was attributed to her early advisors, who urged her to choose the profession as it was considered a practical livelihood.
