Stephen Makk

Stephen Makk is a bestselling romance and thriller fiction author who is best known as the author of the “USS Stonewall Jackson” series of novels. Like many of his contemporaries, he began reading when he was very young and this would stand him in good stead in his later career.He believes that his desire to read served him well as it enabled him to know what does not work and what does.One of his introductory lessons on writing was when he had to imagine himself a war correspondent of a Roman war. It was an assignment given to the class by their class teacher and the praise he got from the teacher would inform his decision to pursue a career as an author.He would go on to become a technology geek and became an engineer practicing and living in Suffolk, Teesside, and Lancashire in England and several years in Canada. Makk now makes his home in the Northern part of the UK even though he has dived and travelled extensively in the world’s Oceans and Seas.
