Sam Lloyd is an English author and illustrator best known for creating the unique character of Mr. Pusskins and the Whoops-A-Daisy-World series. Her character Mr. Pusskins is a cosseted cat, who is much-loved by his owner Emily, but he is not grateful and is always dreaming of finding excitement away from his owner’s attention and the comfortable life that Emily has giving him. To put it bluntly, Mr. Pusskins is a spoiled cat and is always getting himself into naughty fun that eventually turns bad for him. The first book withMr. Pusskinswas the winner of the 2006 Booktrust Early Years Award for Best Pre-School Book, the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, and was also shortlisted for the V & A Illustration Award.
