Rick Rubin

Rick Rubin is an American author of The Creative Act: A Way of Being. He is a highly influential figure in the music industry, renowned for his exceptional skills as a record producer. Rick was born Frederick Jay Rubin in 1963 in Long Beach to Michael Rubin, a shoe wholesaler, and Linda, a housewife. He spent his childhood in Lido Beach. At Long Beach High School, Rubin developed an interest in music. He got guitar and songwriting lessons from the school’s audiovisual department director.He formed his first band with friends, playing at garages and school events. Later, he started a punk band called The Pricks. Their fame came from an unusual incident when they were thrown offstage at the famous CBGB club. This happened after a fight with hecklers, which was planned by the band’s friends to create a buzz.
