Rick Jackson
Rick Jackson is an American historical fiction and true crime novelist best known for his novel North Carolina Murder & Mayhem. The North Carolina native was born and brought up in Durham. From his upbringing, he decided to dedicate his career to education and, over the years, has developed a passion for chronicling the tumultuous and rich history of North Carolina. Jackson currently makes his home in a suburb of Raleigh in North Carolina. While he has become quite a promising author, he works a day job as a high school teacher who mostly teaches economics and business courses. Before he became a teacher, he used to work in the finance and banking sectors, where he worked for many years and held various positions that gave him a deep understanding of economic systems. His academic journey has its roots in a deep appreciation for history. Early on, he went to Campbell University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history. He would then attend the University of Mount Olive, where he obtained a Master of Business Administration degree. Combining business acumen and historical insight, he is uniquely placed to narrate and explore the many profound historical narratives of North Carolina’s past.
