Rachel Amphlett
Rachel Amphlett is a British born author currently residing in Brisbane Australia, best known for writing the Dan Taylor thriller series of novels. Before she became an author, Amphlett was guitar player in a band, film and TV extra, freelance producer with the BBC, radio presenter, and editorial assistant and sub editor. She also undertook several courses in publishing at the Oxford John Brookes University. She published her first novel “White Gold” in 2011 and has never looked back since. She now has several thriller spy and crime fiction series to her name including the “Detective Kay Hunter” series and fan favorite “Dan Taylor” techno thrillers. Growing up, Amphlett cites her biggest inspirations as Robert Ludlum, Lee Child, Ken Follett, and Michael Connelly among several other crime and detective fiction authors. Her novels have enjoyed much success and popularity across much of the Western world and have been translated into several languages in Europe. Her works have been a success in the United Kingdom the USA, Australia and Germany, where the Dan Taylor series was published by Luzifer Verlag the German publishers of Chris Ryan’s novels. The first novel of the series was sold to TIMECrime Imprint which translated it into Italian. Professionally, Rachel is a member of the Crime Writers Association, and the International Thriller Writers.
