Phyllis Gobbell

Phyllis Gobbell writes short stories, creative nonfiction, and books, and she has earned awards in both fiction and nonfiction. Her short works have been published in literary journals, anthologies, and magazines. She has received the Leslie Garrett Fiction Prize twice, North Carolina Writers Workshop First Place Award in Creative Nonfiction, Knoxville Writers’ Guild First Place Award in Creative Nonfiction, and the Tennessee Writers Alliance Short Story First Place Award. One of her short stories, published in Bellevue Literary Journal, earned her a Pushcart nomination.
