Phoef Sutton

While in College, Phoef Sutton began acting and penning playwrights. Sutton became lucky and joined James Madison University, one the leading liberal arts college in Virginia, where the students were encouraged to pen down playwrights. While at the college, Phoef Sutton was one the few college students who were awarded a Norman Lear Award. After he graduated, Phoef Sutton began to produce plays at different regional theatres throughout the country. His novel, Burial Customs was selected for publications by the renowned Theatre Communications Group. After Phoef married, he decided to relocate to Los Angeles where he took a job with NBC. Phoef Sutton was part of the team that was involved in the creation of the television show, Cheers. Phoef Sutton was part of the television show for more than eight years.
