Percival Everett is a well known author from America, who likes to write literature & fiction novels and poetry. He has written a few successful standalone novels in his career. In addition to being a popular author he is also a Distinguished English Professor at the Southern California University. Author Everett was born in the year 1956 in Fort Gordon, Georgia, US. He earned his AM degree from the Brown University. Author Everett penned his first book in 1983 under the title of Suder. This book was based on the life of Craig Suder, a third baseman from the Seattle Mariners. This was followed by another novel titled Walk Me to the Distance in 1985. In this book, Everett has described the story of a war veteran named David Larson, who returns from the war in Vietnam and gets involved in searching rancher’s disabled son in Slut’s Whole. This book was later chosen for a movie adaptation by ABC-TV under the name of Follow Your Heart. Following the success of the book, author Everett wrote a short story collection in 1987. After this, he published a couple of books that re-fashioned Greek Myths. Later, Everett decided to go for a change in genre and penned a children’s book in 1992. Then, he returned to novels again and came up with his first full length novel called God’s Country. In this 1994 novel, the lead characters are shown searching the country of God for saving a friend’s kidnapped wife. However, the husband is not sure about finding his wife. The appears to be a parody of politics of gender and race. Everett’s novel Glyph, published in 1999, is the story of a small baby named Ralph. He does not wish to speak, but possesses an extraordinary control over his muscle. Ralph has an IQ of around 500. He uses his high IQ to write letters to his mother about literary topics. The story takes an interesting turn when Ralph gets kidnapped after the news of his extraordinary skills spreads far and wide.
