Patrik Hedstrom

Patrik Hedstrom is a Swedish police detective who features in most detective novels that are written by the well known author from Sweden Camilla Lackberg. Camilla has made Patrik come alive in the minds of many young readers who enjoy reading detective stories. Set in the quiet and calm backdrop of the fishing community in Fjallbacka, the Patrik Hedstrom series is also popularly known as the Fjallbacka series. The birth of Patrik Hedstrom took place in the first book of the series which was the Ice Princess published way back in 2002.Since then the author has gone ahead to release many more books in the Patrik Hedstrom series such as the Preacher in 2004,The Stone cutter in 2005, The Gallows Bird in 2006 followed by The Hidden Child, The Drowning and The Lost Child in 2007, 2008 and 2013 respectively. While Steve Murray went on to translate the first five books from the Ice Princess till The Gallows Bird in English. The novel Hidden Child was converted into English by Tina Nunnay.
