Silken Threads, one of her best performing books won the RITA Awards, which is the top award for Romance Writers in America. Prior to becoming an author, Patricia Ryan served in the publishing industry in Rochester and New York city as an editor and a marketing manager. Using the name P.B Ryan, Patricia Ryan, penned down the Nell Sweeney historical mystery series. The series has been set in the 19th Century post-Civil War Boston. One of the books in the series, titled Murder in a Mill received a nomination for the Mary Higgins Awards.
