Michael J. Malone
Michael J. Malone is an award winning author and poet from the United Kingdom, who likes to write crime fiction novels and poetry. He is known to have published more than 200 poems in various literary magazines all over the UK. The debut full length novel written by Malone is Blood Tears, which was awarded the Pitlochry Prize by the Association of Scottish Writers. In addition to the poems, author Malone has also written a couple of poetry collections, 6 novels, one nonfiction work, and numerous articles for magazines. With respect to the crime fiction genre, Malone is particularly famous for writing the DI Ray McBain trilogy series. Prior to the start of his writing career, author Malone used to work as a regional sales manager for Faber & Faber. He used to cover the regions of North England and Scotland. After leaving this job, Malone began judging and serving as a critic for countless short story, novel, and poetry competitions. While doing so, Malone was involved with a number of organizations. For several years, he was Writers’ Forum’s Scottish correspondent. Author Malone has a vast experience in being a workshop leader and lecturer in creative writing. He has worked as a lecturer and leader for various writers’ groups, colleges, and school. Malone has also been a personal mentor and coach.
