McCarthys of Gansett Island
Marie Force, born Marie Jean Sullivan, was born in Newport, Rhode Island in The United states. She grew up in a humble family, with her father running an aviation repair business while her mother worked as a bookkeeper. Marie attended Middletown High school in 1984. Upon graduation, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Rhode. She successfully graduated in 1988 and secured her first job as a writer at a community newspaper. She later earned a master’s degree at the University of Maryland after being married to a soldier. She has since been married for 22 years to Dan Force and is a mother of two, a girl and a boy. Marie has since worked with the Washington Post, National trade magazine besides supervising numerous publications. She is a renowned and accomplished writer who has earned an enviable position in the New York Times, The Wall street Journal and The USA today. In 2008, she published her first book-Line of Scrimmage and that was her first step to a thousand miles. While sticking to her genre, contemporary romance and romantic suspense, she has sold over 4 million books making them the bestsellers in The New York Times. She is the author of 40 contemporary Romance books including the all times best seller, Gansett Island Series, the Fatal series and The green mountain series. Most of her books have been inspired by her environment. She has made a significant contribution to the romantic world and instilled interest in many young writers who have since followed suit.
