Marc Levy

Marc Levy is a best selling contemporary and literary fiction author from France. He was born in Boulogne-Billancourt, where he spent much of his early childhood and teenage years. When he was 18 years old he worked for the Red Cross for more than half a dozen years even as he studied at the Paris Dauphine University studying computers and management. In 1983 he became the founder of a computer graphics company that operated in the United States and France. His company imported computer peripherals and he famously bought the third PC sold by IBM in Paris.During this time he was still working for the French Red Cross starting as a roadside assistance team member and ending up as emergency relief regional director. But even as his graphics company was doing so well, he was still very naive and by 1989 he had lost control of the company and had to resign to start from scratch.
