M.K. England

M.K. England is a librarian and author from Virginia that grew up in Florida. Before all that she had worked several odd jobs that included teaching assistant, experimental music composer, book store clerk, customer service punching bag, and concessions worker. Megan is queer in both gender and orientation and prefers to use she/her or them/they pronouns. She is also a strong defender of fan culture, fanworks, and fandom. She also advocates for science literacy, planetary science, and exploration. She has frequently written on the intersection of creative work, mental health, and the writing community. When she is not being a librarian or writing, she may be found feeding her video game addiction with “Dungeons and Dragons,” digging in the garden and improvising songs. She also loves “Star Wars” and has been a TeenPit mentor, a three-time Pitch Wars mentor, and NaNoWriMo Municipal Liaison. She published her debut novel “The Disasters” in 2018 followed by “Spellhacker” a science fiction/young adult fantasy mashup in 2020.
