Julie E. Czerneda is one of the most popular Canadian authors of the fantasy and science fiction genres. She has written a number of highly successful novels in her career, one of which is the ‘In the Company of Others’ which went on to win the Prix Aurora award. Julie has also written several short stories and has been involved in editing a few anthologies. She was born on April 11, 1955 in Canada and went on to complete her education in the subject of biology. From the day she debuted as a writer, she has remained active with her writings and the editing works of nonfiction novels. Julie has authored and edited many educational books based on career guidance and science teaching. She says about herself that she liked to meet new people in her life as it makes her feel happy. Julie likes to tuck shells, fungi, feathers or some other attractive thing to the pockets of her coat. She says that her head is always full of stories, questions, and interests, and that is why she does not get bored at any time. One thing that she wishes to do if given a choice, she will head for wild with her husband Roger, by grabbing just a paddle for collecting shells, feathers, and fungi, etc., for her pockets.
