Judith McNaught

Judith McNaught is a New York Times Bestselling author from America who is famous for writing a number of popular novels based on the romance and historical fiction genres. She is particularly known for writing down the highly successful Westmoreland Saga series. McNaught was born on May 10, 1944 in San Luis Obispo, California, United States. She has more than 40 million printed copies of her novels that are sold in more than 8 countries worldwide. They have been translated into more than 30 foreign languages. Apart from being a well known author, McNaught also worked as the first female executive producer for the CBS radio station. By writing her novels in a unique style and mixing the history and romance genres, she has to her credit the invention of the modern Regency Historical sub-genre of romance. After being born and raised in San Luis Obispo, McNaught graduated from the Northwestern University with a major in Business. Later, she married a dentist from St. Louis and got blessed with a couple of children, a son named Clayton and a daughter named Whitney. After a some years into her marriage, Mcnaught got divorced. McNaught began pursuing her dream of becoming a novelist at a very young age. But, before trying her hand at writing novels, she began working as an assistant director in the crew of a film. After that, McNaught also worked as an assistant controller at a major truck company and also became the presidents of an employment agency and an executive firm. It was during her stint as the assistant director for a film by the General Motors Division that she met with her second husband, Michael McNaught. Michael was working as the public relations director in the same company during that time. Together they nurtured 7 children, 2 from her previous marriage and 5 from his previous one.
