Joya Ryan
Joya Ryan is an international and national bestselling author of several contemporary romances. Some of her most popular series of novels include the “Shattered” series, and the “Sweet Torment” series that have fast become fan favorites. Her first ever-published novel was the 2013 published “Break Me Slowly” in the Shattered series which set her on the path to a very successful writing career. She cites one of her biggest influences as Marina Adair, who writes novels with excellent small town settings full of humor and quirky characters. While Adair is not a contemporary romance writer, Joya has found great nuggets from her writing, particularly in areas to do with style that she has incorporated into her novels. Nonetheless, most of her writing ideas are from different places that she finds herself in. For instance, she first attended a rodeo in Wyoming, and loved it so much that she wrote the “Rancher and the City Girl” bestseller inspired by the experience. She is a mother and wife and currently resides in California with her family of husband, and two children. When she is not reading or writing she loves to flambe, baste, barbecue, cook, bake, or anything that involves food and its preparation. She also loves to dance, though she is a terrible dancer that does not mind unleashing her moves on the public whenever she feels like it.
