Joel Rosenberg was one of the prominent authors of the Canadian-American origin. He was famous for writing fantasy and science fiction books. Author Joel was often confused with the novelist of thriller novels named Joel C. Rosenberg. The best known work of Joel’s writing career is the ‘Guardians of Flame’ series. This series is set in a fantasy world, similar to an RPG. The series helped author Joel to gain a lot of success as an author of fantasy books. Another popular novel series written by Joel is, the Keepers of the Hidden Ways book series. With respect to the science fiction genre, Joel has written the ‘Thousand World’ series, which is also quite popular. One of the well known characters created by Joel is Sparky Hemingway, who features in the mystery series written by author Joel. He had begun his writing career in the year 1984 with the release of his debut book titled ‘The Sleeping Dragon’. This book marked the beginning of the Guardians of Flame series. Joel was born on May 01, 1954, in Winnipeg, Manitoba; and died on June 02, 2011. In addition to being a noteworthy author, Joel was also an activist for gun rights. He was related the Miami Herald journalist Carol Rosenberg as an elder brother. The first published work of author Joel was an op-Ed article, which featured in The New York Times in the year 1978. This article favored the nuclear power. The stories penned by Joel have appeared in a number of literary magazines, including Amazing Science Fiction, The Dragon, and Science Fiction Magazine of Isaac Asimov. He was involved with the publishing houses of Avon, Roc, Baen Books, Tor Books, and Berkley for the publication of his novels. In his bestselling series, Joel has placed a college students’ group in a fantasy world. With each published novel in the series, Joel has described the tracing of the main characters, the changes brought in the society, and the descendents of the characters.
