Janette Oke
1935
Janette Oke is a beloved Canadian author known for her inspirational fiction. Her stories are frequently set in historical pioneer times and focus on the lives of strong female characters. Her writing career began in 1979 with the novel Love Comes Softly, published by Bethany House. Since that first book, she has written a great many more, with over seventy-five titles to her name.
