Hank Phillippi Ryan is the bestselling writer of seven award winning novels. Ryan was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended school at the Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio and studied abroad at the International School in Hamburg, Germany. Before she ventured into writing, her first job was broadcasting as a reporter for WIBC radio in 1971. She then became a legislative assistant in Washington DC for the Administrative Practice and Procedure Subcommittee within the Senate Judiciary Committee. Her writing career kicked off when she became an editorial assistant at the Rolling Stone Magazine.
