F. Van Wyck Mason

F. Van Wyck Mason was a renowned American novelist and historian. He was famous for writing historical fiction, adult fiction, pulp magazine, spy fiction, young adult, and defective fiction genres of novels. Van Wyck had a prolific and long writing career that spanned for around fifty years. His career included altogether seventy-eight published novels, a number of which had become bestseller and were very well received. Van Wyck was particularly well known for writing and publishing a very long running series called Hugh North, as well as the American Revolution and the Civil War novel series. Author Mason was born as Francis Van Wyck Mason on November 11, 1901, in Boston Massachusetts, United States. He belonged to a patrician family in Boston that had immigrated to America in the 17th century.
