Emma Lord (Series)

Emma Lord is a mystery series written by Mary Daheim, and it tells us the story of a small-town newspaper owner and editor in Alpine, Washington. The first book in this series is called “The Alpine Advocate”, and the setting of the story is one year after Emma has been a publisher-editor of the Alpine Advocate, which is the name of her publication. At this juncture she is looking for a major story to spice up the newspaper, and we all know the saying; be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.
