Elizabeth Wein
Elizabeth Wein is a renowned American-born Scottish author, who is famous for writing young adult and historical fiction stories. She has written a few widely successful novel series, the most popular one being The Lion Hunters novel series. The first 5 books penned by Wein recount a different version of the stories of King Arthur. They describe the narrative set in the 6th-century kingdom of Aksum in Ethiopia. These stories mainly focus on Wein’s interpretation of Artos’ son Medraut and his half-British, half-Aksumite son named Telemakos. Another well-known novel by author Wein is her 2012 book called Code Name Verity. This thrilling novel is set around the Second World War and revolves around the friendship between 2 young women from Britain, of which one is a spy and the other is a transport pilot. The book received a worldwide appreciation and critical acclaim. In 2013, it was designated the Micahel Printz Award Honor Book.
