Eimear McBride

The author was born in 1976 to Irish parents in Liverpool. Both of her parents worked as nurses. When she was three years old, her family moved back to Ireland. Growing up, she spent much of her childhood in Tubbercurry, Sligo and Mayo. She also had an early interest in writing when she was 7 or 8 years old.
