Dorothy Eden
1912 – 1982
Dorothy Eden (1912-1982) was a New Zealand author of historical, suspense, mystery, romance and Gothic novels. Dorothy attended school and worked as a legal secretary in Canterbury Plains, New Zealand. Following a trip around the world, she fell in love with England. She moved there in 1954 and spent the rest of her life there. As a novelist, Dorothy was renowned for her ability to create fear and suspense. This earned her many devoted readers throughout her lifetime. She died of cancer in London in 1982.
