Dewey Lambdin is one of the highly popular novelists from America, who likes to write novels based on the nautical and historical fiction genres. He is particularly famous for creating the character of Alan Lewrie in his successful novel series of the same name. Alan has been described by author Lambdin as a Navy Officer who takes part in the Napoleonic Wars and the American Revolution. Starting as a midshipman at the beginning of the series, he goes on to rise to the highest ranks in the navy as the series progresses. Author Lambdin’s father was a Naval Officer in the United States Navy. It was the experiences shared by his father about his service days during the wars that inspired Lambdin to develop the Alan Lewrie series. Author Lambdin completed his graduation from the University of Montana State. Initially, he began working on the production line of various local television stations. He even tried his hand in the advertising field before finally taking up writing as a career. When author Lambdin lost his job in the advertising agency in the year 1988, he decided to write books and since then, he has not looked back. Lambdin became a published author in the year 1989 with the release of his debut book titled The King’s Coat, which is also the first book that introduced Alan Lewrie’s character in the Alan Lewrie series.
