Connie Shelton

Connie Shelton is one of the renowned authors from America, who likes to write thriller, suspense, and cozy mystery books. She is well known for writing the Samantha Sweet novel series and the Charlie Parker Mysteries. As a child, author Shelton was very fond of reading mysterious stories. She used to make frequent visits to the library and used to bring at least one book at home for reading. In addition to writing and reading, she likes to travel a lot. Whenever Shelton is not busy with her writing works, she can be seen being involved in teaching writing courses and speaking at conventions and conferences. Her hobbies and interests besides writing cozy mystery books include cooking, visiting beaches, drawing, painting, and doing enjoyable things in life. Author Shelton is happily married and lives along with her beloved husband in New Mexico. She started her writing career in the year 1995 with the release of her debut book called Deadly Gamble. This novel marked the beginning of her writing career as well as her Charlie Parker book series. Author Shelton says that being a writer of mystery novels means to have fun while writing and making a connection with the readers. When she attempted to write her debut book in 1985, she did not have any clue about how to write a mystery book. It took her 2 years to finish writing 500 pages of the book and when she finally did it, Shelton felt extremely excited. Author Shelton entered into a Writers competition in Southwest with this book and won the third place. Soon after, many publishers began making offers to her for publishing that book. But, without showing much interest towards publication, author Shelton continued to write her 2nd and 3rd books. Then came the time of publication and Shelton did not look back from then on. Initially, she was mainly focussed on writing multiple books based on Charlie Parker’s character. After contributing with a total of 10 books, Shelton thought of branching out and this gave way for her second book series.
