Coffeehouse Mysteries
American author Alice Alfonsi has been writing under the pen-name of Cleo Coyle for some time now gaining much success within the field of the mystery genre novel. Cozy as they are accessible, she writes alongside her husband Marc Cerasini as they collaborate together for the Berkeley Prime Crime label housed under the Penguin Publishing brand. Living together in New York City, they set a great many of their stories there, especially those featured in the Coffeehouse Mysteries series which are located within the district of Greenwich Village. Another similar project they’ve run together is the Haunted Bookshop mysteries, whereby she went under the pseudonym of Alice Kimberly this time. They’ve also worked on novelizations of various TV shows, such as Alfonsi’s Hidden Passions which she ghostwrote for the NBC soap-opera Passions. This has led them both to an ideal stage as they work in side-by-side as masters of their craft, producing highly acclaimed and well regarded books by both the public and critics alike.
