Christine Wenger

Christine Wenger is one of the reputed authors from The United States who has written some very successful books based on the cozy mystery, romance, and suspense genres. She is particularly popular for writing the mystery series called ‘A Comfort Food Mystery’. Prior to the start of her writing career, author Wenger used to work in the department of criminal justice. She says that she has spent so many years in this field that she does not have a count now. While pursuing her master’s degree, author Wenger used continue working full time and this used to make her feel that she was going to school forever. But, when the time finally came, her hard work was rewarded and she earned her dual degree in Parole and Probation Studies and Sociology from the Fordham University. However, author Wenger feels that the knowledge that she obtained after spending numerous years in the night school did not prepare her for what she loved the most to do, that is writing cozy mystery and romance novels. The first book that she wrote in her career was a short story based on the western historical theme. It is titled as The Lady and The Cowboy, and was aimed at the beginner adult readers. Author Wenger had sold this book to the Laubach Literacy publishers. In the year 1998, the book was selected by the Public Library Association’s Publishers Liaison Committee as the one of the top books for the new adult readers. Author Wenger has stated that the biggest thrill of her life was receiving a call from Susan Litman from the Harlequin publication’s Special Edition in the year 2004, which was called as Silhouette publication at that time. A year later, her second book titled The Cowboy was published. After that, author Wenger wrote 8 more books for Harlequin. She is still associated with the publication and is expected to write a few more books for them. Her books based on the cowboys of the west and southwest indicate that she is very fond of them. Author Wenger is so much confident about her writings that she believes readers fall in love with her characters in less than 8 seconds.
