Charlie Bone

The Children of Red King Series (mostly referred to as The Charlie Bone series) is a complete set of 8 novels by Jenny Nimmo that concern Charles Bone together with his friends as they attempt to put a stop to Bloor’s plans. The series is all about 10-year old Charlie Bone as he starts noticing strange things which happen to him. Charlie Bone gets asked by Julia Ingledew, a book store owner to find her lost niece whom her brother had sold for a strange case. The case was then given to Charlie Bone along with the seemingly impossible job of finding the lost girl and his special power. Charlie Bone can read all the thoughts of people in photos at the time when the photos were taken. His wicked grandmother sends Bone to Bloor’s Academy. At first, it looks like one dreaded thing but it might just lead to the whereabouts of this missing girl. With the aid of Charlie Bone’s friend Benjamin along with Runner Bean, the loyal dog and some of his close family members, Bone e goes on his first journey to Bloor’s Academy with hopes of not letting down Miss Ingledew.
