Cecily von Ziegesar is one of the highly successful novelists from America who likes to write her books based on the young adult genre. She is particularly famous for her young adult novel series titled ‘Gossip Girl’. Author Cecily has also written a few other books based on the drama, short romance, and comedy genres. She was born on June 27, 1970, in New York City, New York, United States. Her family is believed to have originated from the nobility of the Germans. When author Cecily was small, she used to dream of becoming a ballerina after growing up. Her parents had admitted her to ballet classes at the age of three and when she 8 years old, she auditioned for the Ballet School of America. But, her dreams did not see the light of the day as she was rejected at the auditions. As Cecily entered into her teenage years, she began communicating to Manhattan every morning at 6 am in order to attend The Nightingale Bamford School. After her graduation from the Nightingale, author Cecily joined the Colby College. Post her graduation, she began working for a radio station in Budapest, continuing for a period of one year. Cecily returned back to the United States in order to study creative writing at the Arizona University. However, she dropped out from there very soon.
