Carole Nelson Douglas is one of the noteworthy authors of America who has written many popular novels and short stories based on the mystery & thriller, romance, and science fiction & fantasy genres. She has written a total of 60 novels in her career as an author. Carole is best known for writing down two of her very famous novel series, the Midnight Louie mystery series and the Irene Adler suspense novels. She was born in Everett, Washington, United States on November 15, 1944. She joined the College of St. Catherine for bachelor of arts degree. During her college days, Carole was an English literature and a theatre major. After her graduation, she began working as a reporter for a local newspaper agency located in Minneapolis and later became the editor of the same newspaper agency. She got married to Sam Douglas in the year 1967. Sam was an artist and used to work as the director of the Minnesota Museum of Arts. When she was working at the agency, she came across an expensive and long classified advertisement. It offered a black cat with the name Midnight Louie in the right house for 1 dollar. Carole developed a feature story based on the survival artist by putting it into the point of view of the cat. Later, the cat found its right home and Carole kept its name for the feline mystery series, Midnight Louie mysteries, a few years later. She has dedicated some of the novels of the series to the original Midnight Louie, for whom nine lives were also not enough.
