Ben Mezrich

Ben Mezrich is a popular American author known for writing thriller, science fiction, horror, fantasy, nonfiction, and children’s books. He has written a number of standalone novels in his career, most of which have been widely successful. Author Mezrich was born on February 07, 1969, in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. His father, Reuben Mezrich, was the chairman of the radiology department at the Maryland University’s School of Medicine, while his mother Molli Newman, was a lawyer by profession. Author Mezrich was brought up in a conservative household that followed the Jewish beliefs. He completed his school education from the Princeton Day School, Princeton, New Jersey. Later, he finished his graduation magna cum laude from the Harvard University with a degree in the subject of Social Studies in 1991. Some of the books written by author Mezrich bear the pen name Holden Scott. Mezrich is mostly known for writing nonfiction books. He married a woman named TOnya M. Chen in 2006 and is blessed with a kid. Mezrich lives with his wife and child in Boston, Massachusetts. The best known nonfiction work of author Mezrich is called Bringing Down the House. This book describes the story of 6 MIT students, who win millions of dollars by betting on blackjack games at numerous casinos of Las Vegas using a sophisticated system of card counting. They continue to use their sophisticated techniques at various other gambling centers throughout the Caribbean and the US, thereby adding many more million dollars to their account. This book had become highly successful after its release and was also adapted into a Hollywood film. It was titled 21 and was premiered in 2008. Just like the novel, the movie also received worldwide acclaim. Even the book is categorized as a work of nonfiction, many of its characters appear composite. Also, several of the events described in the book include the people on whom the characters are based. In 2004, author Mezrich wrote and published a book called Ugly Americans. This book is also categorized as nonfiction and depicts the exploits of an American man named John Malcolm, who used to work as an assistant securities trader.
