Audrey Niffenegger

Author Audrey Niffenegger is a writer of novels, short stories, and graphic novels; she is also an artist (this comes in handy with her illustrated stories or her graphic novels that she writes). She was born June 13, 1963 in South Haven, Michigan, and grew up in Evanston, Illinois. Niffenegger was trained at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in visual artist program. Under the tutelage of William Wimmer, she began making prints in the year 1978. She also got her MFA from Northwestern University’s Art Theory and Practice Department in the year 1991. She is married to Eddie Campbell (an artist and writer).
