Anna Jacobs
1906 – 1988
Anna Jacobs is an English-Australian novelist of romantic, fantasy, science fiction, historical and modern fiction novels. The author also writes under other two different names- Shannah Jay for Science Fiction and Fantasy and Sherry-Anne Jacob for historical romance and nonfiction. In 2006 Jacobs won the Australian Romantic Novel of the Year Award for her book Pride of Lancashire. She has also been nominated a number of times for other awards. She is popularly known as the author of the Traders Series and Chronicles of Tenebrak series. In 1973, Jacobs left England for Australia, but she still makes trips back to England to visit her family and also undertake research for her books.Jacobs became a published author in 1992 when Persons of Rank was published. She has since then published more than 30 standalone novels and over dozen book series.
