Alison Weir

Alison Weir is a well known British author and historian who has written many historical novels. Most of her novels are in the form of history books and historical depictions, revolving around the biographies of British royalty. Alison was born in July 8, 1951 in London, England. She started her writing career in the year 1989 when her first novel was published, which was about the centered around the genealogical description of the British royal family. Subsequently, Alison went on to write the biographies of a number of British princes, queens, princesses and kings. Her written works are typically based on the history, literature and fiction genres. As a child, Alison grew up in Central London and was deeply inspired by her mother, whom she has described as a genuine and a good person with lots of strength, humor, integrity and wisdom. She has seen her other overcoming the trials of her life with a commendable fortitude. At the age of 14, Alison developed a keen interest in the field of history and began reading a historical book about Catherine of Aragon. She completed her academic education from the School for Girls in City of London and later from the North Western Polytechnic.
