Alison Belsham
She first started writing thinking that she wanted to be a screenwriter. In 2002, she got a commendation for her visual storytelling in the Orange Prize for Screenwriting. She was shortlisted in 2001 in a BBC Drama Writer competition. She had children but she changed over to fiction. Her novel Domino was picked in 2009 for the Adventures in Fiction mentoring scheme. She pitched her crime novel The Tattoo Thief at the Pitch Perfect event and won at the Bloody Scotland Crime Writing Festival.
