Alex Irvine / Alexander C. Irvine

Alexander C. Irvine is an American author of fantasy and science fiction book best known for his standalone novel, A Scattering of Jades. He also writes Sleepy Hollow series, Iron Man series and Tom Clancy’s the Division under the pen name Alex Irvine. His novel A Scattering of Jades won him a Locus Award in 2002 and formed the 2003 Unintended Consequences Collection. In 1993, he won Lennie Isaacs Memorial Award and in 1995 won the Albert Morton Turner Essay Prize and Steve Grady Poetry Award. He is a graduate from the University of Maine with a Masters of Arts in English and the University of Denver with a PhD. He worked as an assistant English professor at the University of Maine and worked as a reporter for the Portland Phoenix.
